There is a specific category of menswear that exists to be photographed - shirts for a night out, a performance, a wedding where you are not the groom but intend to be remembered. Judging those garments by the standards of a workwear oxford is pointless. The right questions are different: does the embellishment survive being worn, does the cut flatter under artificial light, and what does it cost to keep it looking new?
The BARABAS Royale Rhinestone Long Sleeve Shirt is $168.00. It answers the first two well. The third is where I would want a buyer to pause.

Hand-applied is the specification that justifies the price
This is the detail worth understanding, because it separates a $168 shirt from a $40 one that photographs similarly.
Most embellished shirts in the mass market use heat-transfer rhinestones - a sheet of stones pressed onto the fabric in one operation with heat and adhesive. It is fast, cheap, and it is why those garments shed stones in patches after a few wears: one adhesive failure takes a whole area with it.
Hand-applied stones are placed individually. That allows the design to follow the print underneath rather than sit on top of it as a rectangle, it allows varied stone sizes for depth, and it means a failure is one stone rather than a cluster. It is also slow, which is where the cost goes. If you look at the tiger motif against the paisley, you can see the placement is following the pattern - that is the tell.
The 97% cotton base is the other thing I would highlight positively. A large share of this category is polyester, because polyester takes a sharp print cheaply and holds a synthetic sheen. Cotton drapes better, breathes far better under stage or club lighting, and does not develop the plasticky look polyester gets in flash photography. For a shirt you will wear for six hours in a warm room, that is a real comfort difference.
Sizes to 5XL is genuinely welcome in a category that too often stops at XL.

Three honest drawbacks
1. "Dry clean only" is a recurring cost and a genuine risk to the stones. This is the big one. At roughly $5 to $10 a clean, a shirt worn monthly adds meaningfully to its lifetime cost - but the money is the smaller issue. Dry cleaning uses solvents, and solvents are exactly what dissolves the adhesives used to set rhinestones. Repeated dry cleaning is one of the most common causes of stone loss on embellished garments. If you buy this, tell your cleaner about the stones and ask them to hand-finish and avoid aggressive tumbling, or spot-clean and air it between wears and dry clean only when genuinely necessary. The label and the embellishment are in tension with each other, and BARABAS does not warn you about that.
2. "High-stretch fabric" is overstating 3% spandex. Three per cent elastane in a cotton shirting gives you comfort stretch - enough movement that a slim cut does not pull across the back when you reach - and that is a good thing. It is not high stretch. High-stretch shirting typically runs 5% or more, often in a knit or jersey construction. If you are buying partly because you expect the fabric to accommodate a broader chest or larger arms, temper that expectation: this is a woven cotton shirt with a little give, and the fit will be governed by the pattern, not the stretch.
3. Slim fit up to 5XL needs care, and there is one colourway. A slim-cut 5XL is still a slim cut - it is a larger version of a trim pattern, not a relaxed fit. Anyone ordering at the top of the range should check BARABAS's measurements against a shirt they already own rather than ordering their usual size, because slim patterns diverge most from standard sizing at the extremes. And this design comes in Black Gold only, so if the colour is not right for you, there is no alternative in this piece.
One further note on longevity: hand-applied stones will still eventually shed a few, and the listing does not mention whether spare stones are included or whether BARABAS supports repair. Worth asking - most quality embellished garments ship with a small packet of spares, and a brand that does is signalling confidence.
Who should buy it - and who should not
Buy it if you want a genuine statement shirt for events, performance or nights out, you value hand-applied embellishment over heat-transfer, and you appreciate that a cotton base will be far more comfortable than the polyester alternatives. For that use, $168 is a reasonable price for the level of finishing on show.
Skip it if you need something you can throw in a washing machine, if you want everyday wear rather than occasion wear, if you are sizing at the top of the range and cannot check measurements, or if you were expecting substantial fabric stretch. And if the maths of dry cleaning a shirt you will wear a dozen times a year bothers you, that instinct is correct - budget for it or buy something else.
Verdict
Within its category this is honestly made. Hand-applied stones on a 97% cotton base with a coherent original print is a meaningfully better construction than most of what competes with it, and the size range shows the brand takes larger customers seriously. The friction is entirely in ownership: dry-clean-only care that works against the embellishment, one colourway, and a stretch claim that oversells 3% elastane. Buy it knowing it is an occasion garment with maintenance attached, and it will do exactly what you want it to.
