I work with fragrance and body-care formulas for a living — which mostly means I read ingredient decks the way other people read restaurant menus, and I've grown allergic to the phrase "clean beauty" being used as a substitute for an actual formula.
So when ESAS put four new scents into the New Arrivals Hamam Bundle at $100, my first question wasn't how it smells. It was: what is actually in the bottle, and is a bundle the smart way to buy it?
Here's my honest breakdown — including the parts that made me hesitate.

What the Hamam Deo Body Spray actually is
This is the part most people get wrong, so let's settle it first: the Hamam spray is a deodorizing body spray, not an antiperspirant. There are no aluminium salts in it. It will not stop you sweating. What it is designed to do is deodorize, refresh and lightly scent the skin — ESAS calls it a "bath in a bottle," a nod to the Turkish hamam ritual the brand traces back to the 14th century and the Roman bath tradition before it.
Understand that distinction and the product makes sense. Miss it, and you'll be disappointed for the wrong reason.

The formula, read line by line
This is where the product earns its price. The base across all four scents is consistent, and it's a genuinely considered deck rather than water plus fragrance:
- Organic sugarcane alcohol — the carrier, and the reason it flashes off fast and leaves no film.
- Witch hazel — the traditional astringent half of the "purify" claim.
- Esas DeoScent™, a proprietary rice and sugarcane ferment blend — this is the actual deodorizing mechanism, working on malodour-causing bacteria rather than masking with more perfume.
- Cassia Angustifolia hyaluronic acid + coconut-derived glycerin (branded HydraScent™) — the hydration side, and the reason this doesn't leave skin as tight as a straight alcohol spray would.
- Vitamin E, burdock root tincture, grape leaf tincture, upcycled chlorophyll — the antioxidant layer.
Two things stand out to me here. First, the ferment is doing real work — a lot of "natural deodorant sprays" are alcohol plus fragrance oil and nothing else, and they fail by hour four. Second, the scent notes are listed openly: Cherry Cloud runs vanilla, copaiba balsam, gardenia, davana, osmanthus, tonka, pink peppercorn and coconut pulp. A brand hiding behind the word "parfum" cannot show you that list. ESAS can.

The packaging is not an afterthought
Recyclable glass bottles, biodegradable stone labels, aluminium pumps, and Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certification. If sustainability claims usually make you roll your eyes, note that these are specific and checkable rather than a vague "eco-conscious" badge.
Where I'd push back
Four honest reservations, all of them things you can verify on the product page yourself:
- $100 doesn't reach ESAS's own free-shipping threshold. Domestic free shipping starts at $135+. So the "20% off" bundle still leaves you paying shipping unless you add roughly another $35 to the cart. Factor that in before you call it a deal.
- The per-bottle maths isn't as flattering as the badge. At $100 for four 1.7 oz bottles you're paying $25 each. ESAS's own 1.7 oz Hamam trio sits at $65 — about $21.67 a bottle. You're buying this bundle for the four new scents, not for the lowest price per millilitre.
- 1.7 oz is a small bottle. For scale, ESAS rates its 3.4 oz bottle at 1,200 sprays. If one of these becomes your daily signature, you'll be reordering — and the 8 oz refill at $95 is the more sensible long-term buy.
- It is not allergen-free, and the brand says so. The product page explicitly advises patch testing inside the elbow and stopping use if irritation occurs. With an alcohol-forward base and a genuinely complex botanical scent deck, that warning is worth taking literally — particularly if you plan to spray anywhere freshly shaved.
One more note in the interest of full transparency: this specific bundle carries no customer star rating on the ESAS site at the time of writing. I'd rather tell you that than quote you a number I can't source.
Who this bundle is for
Buy it if: you want to try all four new scents at once rather than gamble $45 on a single full-size bottle; you're moving away from aluminium antiperspirants and want something that deodorizes on ingredient logic rather than marketing; you travel and want carry-on-friendly sizes; or you're shopping for a gift where four bottles genuinely look like a gift.
Skip it if: you need to stop sweat rather than odour; your skin reacts badly to alcohol-based sprays; you already know which single scent you want, in which case the 3.4 oz bottle or the 8 oz refill is better value; or you were only buying it for the discount, in which case the shipping threshold cancels a chunk of it.
The verdict
The New Arrivals Hamam Bundle is the right purchase for a specific person: someone who wants breadth rather than volume. Four new scents, a ferment-based deodorizing system that isn't just perfume in disguise, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E doing the hydration work, and packaging the brand can actually defend — at $100 instead of $125.
What it is not is the cheapest way to own ESAS Hamam spray. If you already have a favourite scent, buy the refill. If you don't yet — and that's most people reading this — this bundle is exactly how you find out which one it is.
