Tarps are easy to overlook until you need one in the rain. GeerTop's Lightweight Multipurpose Camping Tarp is the product reviewed here.
What the listing says
GeerTop has been building gear since 2016 and runs its own factory, which is a reassuring sign for seam quality, though stitching can't be judged without handling the tarp. The listing describes a compact pack size and reinforced guyline points, which matter when staking a tarp in wind.
Pros
- Compact, light pack size and a one-person setup, per the listing
- Reinforced stake points designed for gusty wind
- Ships worldwide with tracking
Cons
- No poles included — you're either using trekking poles or trees
- Ground stakes provided are basic, worth upgrading
There's a current GeerTop promo code — new15 takes 15% off your first order, and the tarp itself is separately marked down 60% right now.
